Actor Singer Writer Mover
Howdy!
And Hello!! My name is Walker Kemp, I am a senior acting major from Coastal Carolina University and I am so excited that you are here!
Here is what you can expect from me and my work: I am a dedicated performer who has been on the stage, building a creative identity from a very young age. I have always been drawn to stories that I can see myself in, but I am constantly pushing myself to learn and grow as an artist, often seeking out exciting, new challenges, experiences, and projects that force me to get uncomfortable and see the world in a new light.
On and off the stage I am proudly apart of the LGBTQ community, I am constantly inspired and looking for opportunities to spotlight my community and tell queer stories that a younger me would have appreciated growing up in the deep south of Georgia. My training is primarily based in movement and voice work, with particular interest in artistic endeavors that require a higher level of endurance and athleticism.
Outside of theatre I love to express myself through other art, like writing music and painting, exploring the outdoors, and singing karaoke with friends at our favorite local spots.

Whats Up With Me?
Im currently excited to say I am preparing for The Coastal Carolina University’s BFA Senior Showcase at The Green Room 42 in NYC on February 26th!
Additionally, rehearsals are gearing up for his final collegian production in CCU’s main-stage season, where I will be seen as Dudard in Eugene Ionesco’s, The Rhinoceros. Directed by Matthew Shneck.
Lastly, previously in the fall, I had the incredible opportunity to showcase my own music and devising strategies, staging my self-written production of, Hyacinth. Being able to see my own ideas come to life and flourish on stage was a dream come true and I am forever grateful to the CCU theatre dept. for the chance to tell my story and for allowing me to find the power in my voice!
